BRYCE+DIANA+WOOCHIN
What a day, that was!
Bryce came over and after a morning of experimenting with facials (yogurt and oatmeal anyone?) we decided to go out for some french vanilla slushees and took Diana with us. We were walking through a back alley, when I decided to stop and take pictures of a run-down building. The building caught on fire more than a year ago and as we were discussing this, a slightly dingy and stringy-haired Chinese man came up to us and asked, quite merrily, in his thick accent, to take his picture.
He then went behind the fence surrounding the building, spread his arms wide and grinned. I didn't know what to do other than to take his picture. I didn't mind one bit, he was an interesting character and we thought he was hilarious! Later, we followed him around the building as he explained that he onced owned it, before the fire. He tells us a bunch of other random things about himself and we had a good--albeit, hard to understand--conversation. We part smiling, memory of Woo Chin imprinted on film, along with his email adress, as he insisted I send him his picture...
Anyways, we never got our french vanilla slushees. The store is closed until september, and we left hungry for something frozen. Alternative? Fudgicles and brightly colored icepops at the cornerstore across the street.
I wasn't gonna come home empty handed! :)
