As many of you already know I am in the beauty business. I've been a cosmetic product developer for 16 years. One of the most exciting parts of my job is the competitive evaluation part. Meaning I am able to test any product on the market to see what works and what doesn't. I am a beauty junkie and I love to try new things so it's really a dream that I get to do this for a living. Pretty cool, right?

Over the years I've tested hundreds of formulas. And I have to say there are some amazing products out there but no matter what I always go back to a skincare line that I first tried about 15 years ago, Mario Badescu.

For over 40 years, Mario Badescu has been helping to treat the skin of both women and men alike. No matter your skin type or condition, they have a solution for you. Believe me when I tell you, this line is absolutely amazing! And I'm not the only one who thinks so. Their celebrity client list is a mile long. Charlize Theron, Gwenyth Paltrow, Natalie Portman, Jennifer Aniston, Rachel Bilson, Laeticia Casta and Eva Longoria are all devotees.

In addition to using their skincare products, I also go to them for the most fabulous facials. If you're ever in the NYC area and need a little skin refresher, be sure to make an appointment. Your skin will love you for it.

They have an extensive line of products from cleansers and toners, to moisturizers, eye creams and exfoliants and masks. They also have specific formulas to address specific skin concerns like acne, rosacea and eczema. My most favorite products are the Enzyme Cleansing Gel, Orange Protective Day Cream, Hyaluronic Eye Cream and Drying Lotion.


The Enzyme Cleansing Gel is a fabulous non-foaming gel cleanser that smells absolutely divine. It thoroughly removes make-up, dirt and oil and leaves skin feeling soft and smooth. It contains Papaya and Grapefruit Extracts that are exfoliating Alpha Hydroxy Acids that help prevent dulling build-up that can cause blackheads and pimples. I've used this every single day since the first day I tried it.


The Orange Protective Day Cream is my must have moisturizer. It contains Orange Peel Extract which exfoliates skin leaving it soft, smooth and hydrated. It also has a fresh citrus fragrance that is amazing.


The Hyaluronic Eye Cream is a medium weight eye cream that contains Hyaluronic Acid which helps lock in the skin’s own natural moisture without the use of heavy, greasy oils.


And finally, their best selling blemish busting Drying Lotion. Just one try of this will make you understand why it is so deserving of it's cult status. This amazing Acne spot treatment is made with a blend of Calamine and Salicylic Acid that miraculously clears up and soothes pimples overnight. I've gotten many a person hooked on this one.
