Thankful Day & A Winner!


Happy Thanksgiving to all of my American friends! I'm heading out to Long Island today to spend the day with my family. I've tried my best to detox from this past weekend's festivities and I think I'm ready to take on my 2nd Thanksgiving in less than 5 days. Wish me luck :)

I'm such a fortunate girl and I have so much to truly be grateful for including:
  • J, my eternal love and soulmate
  • My family, for always being there
  • My friends, for knowing me better than I know myself
  • My health and the health of my loved ones. Unfortunately there is someone extremely close to me who could use a little help in that department but nonetheless I'm still grateful for having him in my life and for every second I get to spend with him.
  • My job, I'm a very lucky girl to gets paid to do what I love to do.
  • Vacations! Including the 10 day one that I leave for tomorrow morning!
What are you all thankful for this year?

Fur Sure


Good Thursday morning, lovelies! It looks as if the weather is going to be taking a turn for the cold in the near future and I find myself dreaming of ways to stay warm and toasty. Inside and outside. I love fur coats and fur throws. Problem is, I don't wear real fur. Only faux and it's not quite as toasty as the real thing but it will have to do. At least it's nice and soft and looks fabulous.

In Bloom


Happy mid-week lovelies! I know it's fall heading into winter in my part of the world. The leaves are falling and the branches are getting bear but I can't help but long for the blooming buds & fresh sprouts of Spring. Can you?

Weekend Snapshots & A Winner!


Good Monday morning, lovelies! Hope you all had a fabulous weekend. As you can probably tell from the photos, I finally got to realize my foliage fantasies. My family & I hit the road on Saturday, a picture perfect day. We drove on up to Bear Mountain, Warwick and Sleepy Hollow and were treated to gorgeous views and yummy fall festivities.

We pumpkin picked and ate caramel apples, exactly what I had hopped for. The hills were bursting with vibrant shades of red, yellow, orange and green and then we were treated to the most gorgeous sunset over the most placid pond. The mirrored reflection of the sky and the trees over the pond was so magical. Only the darkness could make me leave.

Monday Morning


Why is it that Mondays seem to come too soon? Even though I had a blissfully relaxing weekend which included a lovely stroll through the green market, cooking and lots of cuddling up on the couch watching movies and hockey, I can't help but wish for another day off. I guess who really wants the goodness to end? Plus it's Columbus Day and other people have off but I don't. Oh well...

I do have things to look forward to this week. Starting with a fabulous giveaway and a guest post at one of my favorites tomorrow. Can't wait!

Sweet Sophisticate & Happy Things


Morning, lovelies! Oh how wonderful would it be to wake up every morning to this beautiful slice of heaven? I imagine my closet would contain all beautiful flowing pieces in gorgeous shades of barely there. A far cry from the New Yorker in me but I like to dream :)

Oh and yesterday I was so happy to find out that I won Diana's wonderful contest! The Sima Original Golden Bar Necklace! I'm so thrilled. I really really really wanted to win it. The clean simple lines just speak to me and I've been dreaming about it since I entered the contest. Thank you so much, Diana dear. I will wear it very happily!

And also I received a few awards the past few weeks. The One Lovely Blog Award from Bella Gets Real and The Versatile Blogger Award from The October Issue. Thank you so much ladies for these awards! Slow Start & A Giveaway!


Morning loves! Hope you all had a fabulous weekend. Mine was wonderful but I'm having a very lazy morning today. Too bad I have to get on off to work...

Yesterday I spent the day with my niece and took her to the Jonas Brothers concert last night. Yes I said Jonas Brothers. In the pouring rain in an outdoor venue nonetheless. And it poured the entire concert. Thank goodness for ponchos. I guess. I'm still waterlogged this morning. Plus I didn't get home until pretty late so that explains my sluggishness this morning.
