it is blisteringly, witheringly, searingly hot out.

still only june! how will we survive this punishing summer, my friends? i
so love dressing up ~ but right now, don't want a thing touching my skin (save the skimpiest of swatches). and yet, i refuse to go anywhere near a t-shirty tank dress. i'd rather melt.
my preferred solution? enter the following:

beloved by both golden girls and goddesses, the caftan is a ventilated vestment for which i've long held an abiding affection. what better way to stay cool, while infusing evening-gown-glamour into your daytime attire?!

alas, in today's separates-centric shopping landscape, it seems they are increasingly hard to find. i've collected a few vintage treasures, but it looks like i'll be needing three months worth! have you any tips for where to find the best (preferably online ~ better yet, on a budget!)? if so, please spill! i'm seriously sweating in anticipation.
