i freely admit that i'm a total wimp about winter; i never have been cool with being cold. i especially detest when every day feels like a reality-tv challenge: how many outfits can you build around boots?! or how dexterously can you dart through the streets in a bundle of bedsheets?! it's times like these that i don't want to leave the house unless it's absolutely, undeniably necessary.
instead, i've been digging my heels in at home, cozying up the pad as much as possible ~ layering cowhides on couches, corralling candles into every corner, stocking up on savory snacks and cocktail components in classic decanters, and adding gobs of greenery for a much-needed reminder of what nature looks like. in other words, i'm actively channeling the sorts of spaces that invite hibernation, like those below:
