WINNIPEGSTREETSTYLE

I know it was three months ago, but remember my little adventure on Canada Day? Bryce and I didn't just go to Osborne Village to melt in the heat and bask in the local atmosphere. We were actually there to scout some fashionable Winnipeggers! The reason why I'm only posting them now is kind of complicated. This summer, I was supposed to shoot Winnipeg local style for a European streetstyle blog, but it didn't quite work out. I didn't want to let these pictures of stylish people to go to waste though, so I thought I'd post them here.

Sorry they're a tad bit late, but better late than never, right?

Oh hey, Andrew ;)

Wearing a thrifted tee, second hand lace skirt, vintage combats, aldo bag and sunnies and random jewelry.

So you probably can't tell by the outfit and lack of anything red/maple leaf-y, but yesterday was Canada Day. God, I love Canada Day! I actually used to hate it when I was younger, because I always spent them at the Forks with my fam and all we would seriously do for 10 hours was sit around and stuff our faces while we were subjected to numerous mosquito bites and waited for the goddamn fireworks (which I was never really fond of). And then there was the whole deal of the Forks being suuuuuuper crowded and smelly due to the port-a-potties and sweaty people.

Anyways, this year was actually great because I didn't spend it with my family (sorry dudes, love you all but I'm 17 and I want freedom). Instead, I went to Osborne Village with my BFF and basically just chilled (or rather, melted).

Anyways, Click HERE for more of our shenanigans.

This is my BFF Bryce (for those of you might not be aware). She is cool and half of her head is shaved. Rah!!!

Basically our whole day was as follows:

-Took bus to Osborne
-We walked down the street in a mission to ambush at least 15 stylish people
and interrogate them about their style/take their pictures
-I chicken out and duck into a store only to see my friend Zoe with whom we chat with for a bit
-We stumble out and see some people who went to my high school (and take their pictures)
-I hear my name being yelled, and it is none other than Andrew with his YSL bag and his stylish friend Katina with the really cool shoes
-We move on to find more stylish people and Bryce has to literally shove me towards certain people
who were really cool but also intimidating (this happened a lot)
-At various time throughout the day we screamed and complained in agony about the goddamn weather
(it was very humid, at least 30 degrees Celsius and I was wearing black!)
-After about four hours we finally, finally go home and watch Buffy the Vampire Slayer reruns.

Garrett's epic long board that features robots vs teddy bears, I believe.

So, yeah, that was basically our Canada Day! I'd show you more pictures, but they're a surprise and they're not really "for" my blog. (You'll see soon though!)

Hope you all have a great weekend, and for my American lovers, have a happy Fourth of July!

DEADBEATSUMMER

Just some Diana pictures from last summer. Blue skies, crazy photo shoots, the Exchange District, Osborne Village with Zoe and Bryce. The kind of stuff I want to do this summer, and then some.

What exactly do I want to do then? Well, I'm a bit of a procrastinator so things like 'frolicking' and 'eating popsicles' have been loitering around in my head for a while, but haven't actually made their way onto paper. Ya know, one of these days, I oughta make you a list of all the things I want to do come summer. Then maybe I'd actually accomplish some of them!

So what do you want to do this summer?

Hey, hey, party people!

Sorry for not posting sooner, but I got home late from my aunt's house and then got held up by work yesterday, so I didnt get the chance to take some photos for you guys! :( But on the bright side, aren't you glad I took the time to do that today? Also. thanks for all the lovely emails and comments while I was away! You're the sweetest and I promise I'll link, email and comment you all back shortly! :D

Anywho. was shopping down at Osborne Village on friday and I managed to pick up this sweet pink tie-dyed shirt from AA and some new bling :P Now my debit card hates me, but I think it was worth it. Haha.

WONDERFULKINDOFDAY

Spring is (almost) here! The sun is coming out to play, and since it's spring break, so are we, my friends, so are we! Here's what my friend Kaila and I wore today as we walked about Osborne Village, soaking up the rays, shopping and eating cupcakes. It's funny how you can go somewhere with a set mind of what you want to buy, walk around all day looking for it, give up and not find it, and then end up going home with something else totally different, ie) want skirts and shorts >>> buy a vintage hat.
Another thing I bought while in the Village? A copy of Sandbox Magazine's Spring Issue! Wooo! I love Sandbox for being the epitome of all things cool and fashionable in the 'Peg. Aside from pages and pages of spring fashion and incredible work from all sorts of writing/styling/photography talent, there's also another little Raez-and-Andrew feature in there! This time around, we're teaching the art of DIY. So if you wanna make your own sparkly glitter shoes (courtesy of yours truly) or a two-toned shirt (via Andrew) you best be heading out to Chapters, McNally Robinson or Hush & Shout if you're from Winnipe or Coles, Indigo or Chapters if you're from Alberta, Saskatchewan or Toronto to pick up your own copy right now!
Also, don't forget to enter my Beach Pack Giveaway with Sunburn Australia. The contest ends on Thursday the 31st, so hurry!
Wearing random tee, thrifted knit vest, hat and mini bag, scarf from an Osborne Village boutique, thrifted jeans and shoes, and pink fox fur tail from eBay.
