{ costume of the day } cold cuts
my love affair with
cold-shouldered clothes has been long-documented.
i adore a keyhole shoulder ~ so subtly suggestive! with built-in ventilation! and so many styling possibilities!
!
that's why, when i saw this dizzy-print dress last week (for about $25 in a cheesy canal street store called 'in trend'), i knew it had potential. once i got it home and into
my wardrobe, i realized it could be worn in myriad ways ~ so that (functionality-wise) i had scored a lot of bang for very little buck.

i wore it yesterday to a casual business meeting ~ and thus styled it simply. in the future, however, i plan to try it belted, or worn backwards (its reverse is cut quite low). when it gets too hot i think i'll thrust my arms through the shoulder holes, and leave the sleeves to drape like cowls below.

{ tom ford sunnies, the glamourai for shrimpton couture necklace (coming soon!!), my story dress, vintage bracelets & rings, coach bag, dolce vita shoes }
