a few of my readers ~ and many of my friends ~ have mentioned that there haven't been enough bunny sightings on this blog of late. like you had to beg! as my furry baby quickly learned, your wish is my command.

i, on the other hand, have mentioned that i can't get enough all-in-one pieces that can be dressed up or down at the drop of a hat (or, in this case, a ratty beanie). when shopping, i've always challenged myself to only buy pieces that can be worn in at least 2 ways, especially in summer. it makes packing for quick trips so much simpler!
that makes this dress/shirt a recent fave. this weekend we were out at the beach; sunday started with an early morning walk along the water, followed by a long afternoon reading 'midnight in the garden of good and evil' on the deck (in preparation for tomorrow's trip to savannah!), and finished with a dinner date with the glamour guy.

i didn't change my shirt/dress all day! i did, however, change my look.

come evening, i buttoned up the back of my blouse (an elizabeth+james signature) ~ bringing the hem up a good six inches and necessitating a frothy skirt, matching belt, extra jewelry, and heels. yes, this sort of look is much more 'me' than its barefoot predecessor, but every girl needs space in her style for a bit of breezy beach chic, especially when it makes her puppy oh so happy. here's to pieces that work both ways!
