i was recently asked to re-shoot my apartment for an upcoming TV feature (!!!), as a lot has been tweaked since
it was last photographed. winding my way around the flat with my trusty
canon s90 camera, i couldn't resist lingering over a few favorite details that i enjoy living with every day. it truly is the little things that make a house feel like home:
{ a very small, very sweet vintage photograph, ceremonialized by ridiculously over-sized framing. }
{ winter-white lilies seated next to my stoic roommate, cesare, who's always decked in the finest jewels. }
{ i'm constantly burning incense at the feet of this happy fellow. }
{ an ever-evolving art wall, complete with a vintage french sandwich board on which i record grocery lists, dinner party menus, or inspirational affirmations. }
{ a cheesy, cherubic mirror in my entry hall never fails to make me smile. }
{ this dramatic frank horvat print makes for a seemingly appropriate segue into said hall of mirrors. }
{ an oil painting i did in high school (before i'd discovered my now deep-seated love for fashion), based on an antique photograph. it reminds me that i've always had a penchant for glamorous ladies, plus sumptuous textiles and textures!! }
