So I know I've introduced you to my dad earlier, but I don't think you've ever met my sister:)

Everyone meet Kristine, my twelve year-old younger sis. Yeahhhh, we don't look anything alike (she takes more after my dad) and we certainly don't have the same taste in clothes, for those of you wondering.

Introductions aside, I would like to direct you lovelies over to my TUMBLR. Yep, I broke down and finally got one! I made it about a month ago, and have been using it to post my inspirations. Really great way to finally organize the pretty pictures that have been lurking unused and unappreciated in the depths if my computer:)

I know my absence has been scandalously long, but I haven't disappeared from the internet all together. I've been hanging out on Instagr.am, Pinterest and Tumblr which all make sharing fun tidbits so much quicker and easier than doing full-blown blog posts.


I'm finally getting around to posting my CA trip photos from two weeks ago. The trip was very quick and was all about meeting my sweet little baby nephew which means I did very little sightseeing and normal touristy things. Even though it was short, my trip was wonderful and I'm already planning on going back in November when Cole has a week long conference in the city. YAY! Below are the photos I took on my only day in SF where I met my sister for lunch at the Ferry Building and walked around the port...
















Then we drove off to Napa to spend two lovely nights just relaxing and hanging out...


















And then I was home again and greeted by my two little guys...

Wearing a thrifted tank, vintage Levi's shorts, Aldo bag, H&M hat, random jewelry and Converse shoes.

Just like zombies, unicorns, narwhals and ketchup, Vikings rank pretty high up on my weird-things-I-like list. So you can imagine my excitement when my parents declared a day trip to the town of Gimli last week, just in time for the Viking Festival! It was really awesome to see all these people dressed up in costumes (really heavy ones too, in 30 deg celcius heat) walking around this "Viking Village". People were roasting things and making weapons and clothes--it was as realistic as you could get. Not to mention they had a Viking battle demonstration--which was basically a group of really big dudes in heavy armor wielding odd weapons and running at each other. It was quite a sight, let me tell you!

But enough of me being nerdy. The real reason why I've been M.I.A recently has nothing to do with Vikings, although it wouldn't be hard to believe if I said I was kidnapped by a bunch of rogue Vikings and held hostage for a ransom of five goats or something. I mean, that's what they did to my mom when we entered the village, haha!

However, that was not the case. I've simply been busy applying for jobs (yes, getting a job was on my summer to-do list, remember?) and actually getting interviews! So far I've applied to a ton of clothing and shoe stores, went to two interviews, and acquired a third one tomorrow--exciting. I shall keep you all posted on which stores reject and/or hire me, but in the mean time, please enjoy...

And finally, AMAZING hand made solid silver Viking-style jewelry. Beyond perfect detail. Could honestly rival Pamela Love or the Row jewelry, and I'm not kidding. I really wanted to take a piece home, but unfortunately I was not carrying $125 in cash :(

Unlike all other family outings, strawberry picking has always been something I looked forward to. Sure, it meant almost an hour of being stuck in the car with my dad singing at the top of his lungs (terribly, might I add), my mom nagging about everything and my sister and I fighting in the back seat--but it was nice.

This year was different, and certainly better. As you can see, I dressed up for the occasion ie) I wasn't wearing something gross like what I did wear two years ago. Second, my cousins and my god family came with us so that meant I got to ride in their car, which had a little bit of luxury I like to call A/C. Third, I also did a successful photoshoot on the side, and even went go-karting!

Yes, I'm wearing cowboy boots! Wearing an H&M hat, Aldo sunnies, GAP kids vest, vintage skirt as dress, thrifted boots and random jewelry.

After the "foraging" we went to Thunder Rapids, which is this go-karting place for little kids. I rather would have gone to Grand Prix, but if my mom was paying for me to ride reallysuperfast around a dinky track, then I'm not complaining.

(And no, I did not change my outfit just to go go-karting! I told you I was doing a shoot--this is just a left over look that I did not have the time to change out of.)
