every week, i receive at least half a dozen emails from readers, wondering where to go for good vintage and designer deals in new york. being that i shop anywhere and everywhere ~ often accidently stumbling upon some hidden gem, then never again remembering where i found it ~ it's a question i find surprisingly difficult to answer. even after five years in the city, i'm still sifting through its infinite emporiums! truth is, you never really know where you'll uncover true treasures.
lucky for us both, the times has compiled a reference guide, by neighborhood, to the island's best-kept-secret stores. if you're planning a trip to town, i definitely suggest clicking though to 'prospecting in manhattan's richest vintage veins'!
