BEAUTIFULNIGHTMARE

Before I get into why I've disappeared off the face of the internet for an entire week--more like five years in blogger-time--I would first like to announce that this random number generator has chosen Lizzy as the winner of the ChicShop.ca giveaway! Woo-hoo! Congrats to Lizzy, and a big thank you to everyone who entered.
I'd also like to formally introduce these photos as the second half of the 'Sweet Dreams' shoot I did with my buddy John and should-be-a-model friend Adrianna. Working with a projector allowed us to switch backgrounds instantly and so easily; it was surreal! So it's only right that we did a  dream-theme, showcasing both an innocent and a dark side.
Now, in regards of my disappearance...It's not terribly exciting. It's just that no school for a week = more shifts + last minute art projects. The only bad thing is that all of this busy-ness is not over. In fact, now that semester two has started, I will be in way over my head than I would've thought possible, ie) right next to the Titanic at the bottom of the Atlantic Ocean. Don't worry though, I have a pretty high-stress tolerance. I will plow through my last semester of high school and balance homework/blogging/work, even if I have to multi-task like there's no tomorrow (all the while wearing my dominatrix boots, no less)
Adrianna wears a Fallon necklace courtesy of ShopTheFarOut and BB Dakota Dress (first look); Wool cape courtesy of American Apparel and vintage belt with random leggings (second look)

COLLABORATION//NATION

Collaborating with another photographer has definitely been something I've been interested in doing for a while now. Up until now I've been happy shooting solo with my camera Dave, but I've got to say... two cameras are definitely better than one! I found that shooting in a team with my friend John had a ton of benefits. Two skilled and creative people equals two sets of perspective and ideas--and what can be better than that?
So on both of our behalfs, I'd like to introduce (the first half of) our first photoshoot, starring my gorgeous friend Adrianna! The concept was sweet dreams, so I made sure that she was dressed to her dreamiest. Fur, sequins, satin and denim paired with sorbet colours and big, lush lashes--what's sweeter than that? Also, make sure you check back for part two! It's not quite as "sweet", but it's a dream nonetheless!
