GUESSWHOSBACK?!

More like, "guess whose legs?!" (see what I did there?) Nonetheless, I believe the correct answer to the first rhetorical question is: I AM! The second answer being, "mine"- those legs are definitely mine.
Believe it or not, I'm back on the internets and while not necessarily "better than ever" (you might argue, that I am indeed the same as ever, accompanied by an eye-roll) I am back to blogging and that's all that matters, right? After a near-three month hiatus, I woke up this morning and decided, "Ya know, today I feel like blogging!" And that's it, that's all it takes to break a hiatus, really. Now you're probably wondering what I've been up to for all that time, so I'll just tell you all the major events in a more-or-less chronologically listed form:
1) My birthday happened. I finally turned 18 on May 27th!
2) I graduated from high school on June 22nd and I have the diploma to prove it.
3) I also went to Grad (Canadian equivalent of 'Prom') in a tuxedo and yes, I have pictures!
4) I MOVED OUT OF MY PARENT'S HOUSE! Since June 30th, I have lived with my nine cats in a spacious cardboard box outside of Walmart. (KIDDING I am renting a sweet apartment with an awesome room mate)
5) I got myself a second job in order to support my nine cats. (Again, kidding about the cats, but the job is real)
Of course, more ordinary things have happened in between all the exciting stuff, but this list pretty much covers it all. Watch out for some life recaps coming up soon. I have to get you caught up somehow, don't I?

I don't know if you remember the epiphany I blogged about earlier this month, but realizing that I hated 90% of my clothes and needed to buy a whole new wardrobe definitely has something to do with the news bomb I am dropping today. All month I've been feeling the need for change (a caterpillar-turning-into-a-butterfly kind of change) and not just with my wardrobe either. Being the constant, over-thinker that I am, I stopped to ponder what blogging is doing to my life and if my blog even reflects who I am right now. And when you are an over-analyzer like me, the answer isn't always pleasant. Basically, I've decided that I AM TAKING A HIATUS! Sorry to yell at you over the internet but I need to get the point across.
Blogging has definitely proved to be a fun, beneficial and even educational experience for me, and I owe a lot [of the opportunities I've had and cool people I've met] to it. However, due to the combination of my recent change in taste, fashion philosophy, homework load and grad stress, I feel a tiny bit TIED DOWN. I've been blogging for just over three years and by now, Cheap Thrills is as big of a part of my life as, say, a long-term boyfriend would be, if I happened to have one. We (ha) have had good days and bad days and spent an awful lot of time after school together (hehe), but now...I feel like my blog and I need some time apart so we can think about our future. Or find different hobbies or whatever.
As the old break-up line goes: I need space. It's not you, it's me. We can still be friends I need to figure myself out. Despite my blogging hiatus, I will still be tweeting and tumblr-ing so if you miss me or my sass, fret not, because I will still be lurking, muahaha!
And I think I will leave it at that. Peace out everyone.
