Well I'm here in paradise and I'm feeling instantly relaxed. Isn't it funny how all of the stress in your life instantly leaves the second you step foot off of the plane? Loving life right now :)

Oh and I also wanted to let you guys in on some fun news! The lovely Persis over at Miles of Style asked me to guest post for her today while she is away on vacation! Yippeee! I can't even tell you how happy I was to fill in.


Most of you are probably familiar with Miles of Style but for those of you who aren't, I strongly urge you to head right over to check it out. Happy Monday, lovelies! Hope you all had a wonderful weekend. Mine was wonderful filled with lots of family time.

It's back to the work week for me but luckily I only have a four day work week ahead. I would love to be spending my Monday morning like this, living a fun carefree life but that's not the case.

However, I do plan on starting my Friday off this very exact way. Gives me a little motivation to get through the week and something to look forward to.

Ever since I first laid eyes on the living room above in Rue I've had a major thing for this color combo. Cobalt & marigold and while you're at it throw in a little camel too. Isn't it just so striking and inviting? And now, thanks to The Sartorialist it is now a full on, no turning back, head over heels crush!

Unfortunately my wardrobe seems to be severely devoid of these colors, minus the camel, of course. Heading out the door to shop as we speak :)

What do you guys think? Are you loving it as much as I am? Any other color combos you're crushing over these days?

Warm Wishes

Warm Wishes

Happy Wednesday, lovelies. Up here in the northeast we've been hit with another winter storm. This time it was a wintry mix of snow & freezing rain making it just plain messy and hard to get around. I know I'm not alone when I say I'm pretty much over it and am ready for a little brightness, some longer days and warmer pastures.

So what's a girl to do in the middle of January with no end to winter in sight? Plan a vacation of course. Not sure exactly when or where but I'm searching away. In the meantime I'm going to break out my summer citrusy brights to help me along.
