{Guest Post} Inspired Design

It's Debby from Inspired Design and I am so happy to be here while the lovely Dawn is soaking up some Caribbean rays. I am thrilled for her that she has a chance to frolic in the ocean and bury her toes in the warm sand. I can almost smell the coconut scented sunscreen and hear the reggae music in my ears. I am secretly hoping she takes lots of photos so I can live vicariously through her.

Not Quite Fall Weekend

Happy Friday, lovelies! And welcome to the weekend! I know everyone in the northern hemisphere, including myself, is in a fall state of mind but technically it's still summer and I still have the beach house so we'll be heading out there for the weekend.

And wouldn't you know it, the temperature just dropped to fall temps yesterday so it's going to be a rather brisk weekend at the beach. I'm packing all of my sweaters and my cashmere hoodie because it sounds like I'm going to need it.

Should be fun though. I've always dreamed of being one of those people all layered up, frolicking on the beach. Reminds me of something you'd see in the movies. Yeah, I think I watched too much of Grease back in the day. You know that opening scene while Danny & Sandy are saying goodbye on the beach.

And I just watched the movie Something Borrowed a few weeks ago and there was a great scene like that as well. Now it's my chance to try to recreate it :)

Fall Festivities

Fall Festivities

Happy Tuesday, lovelies! It's beginning to feel a lot like fall these days and as I said yesterday I had the most perfect early fall weekend this past weekend with my family. The farm stands were overflowing with pumpkins and gourds and fresh fall flowers and the sky was painted that late summer rainbow. As sad as I am to bid adieu to summer, I'm definitely looking forward to all of the treasures that fall has in store.

Hope you're all enjoying the last unofficial days of summer this weekend. Looking forward to taking it all in and putting many more treasures in my memory box. We have a wedding to attend today and then the rest of the weekend is ours to do with whatever we choose. Our one year anniversary on Monday so the weekend is sure to be filled with lots of celebrating.

Beach Bound...Finally!

Beach Bound...Finally!

Good morning, sweets. Today we're finally gearing up to head on out to Fire Island to start our summer vacation. There's minimal ferry service but at least a few are running and we hear that power's back. We're not 100% sure what we're walking into but we're hoping for the best. Finger's crossed that there's minimal damage to the house and that we're able to finally get this party started!

Happy Wednesday, lovelies! Hope you're all having a wonderful week so far. I know the week is halfway done but I'm still playing catch up after vacation. I'm doing my best but I'm still not up to full speed. Little by little and before I know it the weekend will be here and things should be back to normal.

Longing For Leisure

Longing For Leisure

Happy Thursday, lovelies. Hope you're all having a splendid week. This week has been really hectic so far but I'm not complaining because I have a week long vacation to look forward to starting tomorrow. Can't wait to spend the week at the beach with not much to do besides walk along the shore and lounge outside. Sounds like paradise to me.

I know I promised to announce the winner of the MD Perricone giveaway yesterday but I've been having some issues with random.org and I want the drawing to be fair. Hopefully I'll be back later on today with the winner.

Happy Friday, loves! And welcome to the weekend! I'm relaxing at the beach for the next few days. And then we're ending the weekend at a Blink 182 concert Sunday night. It's all shaping up to be a perfect weekend.
