October Railroad

The first thing I thought of while editing these photos was
this post from last year. At the time, I had just received these Cheerio boots which were my first ever pair of
Seychelles and couldn't wait to style them. Looking for a new location to showcase the boots, Cole and I stumbled upon these scenic railroad tracks. That was a fun and definitely blog altering day. Blogging was still so new to me and still so intimidating and yet somehow wearing my new boots and finding this lovely spot made me feel like I was heading in the right direction. Ever since then, I've worn my boots endless times and taken countless photos by these tracks. It's amazing how very much and yet very little has changed in one year- I still feel constantly intimidated and overwhelmed by blogging and new shoes still make me feel like anything's possible. ;)

As I mentioned the other day, Tressa of
Puppycatmeow was kind enough to send a few braids my way. I've been wanting a braided headband for some time now and couldn't wait to style this one! What's really cool is that Tressa works with you to find the closest match to your hair color. Since my ends are naturally lighter I wear Lightest Brown for the long braids, but knowing that my roots are darker I asked Tressa to combine Light Brown and Lightest Brown together for the headband. I think the color turned out perfect!

Photos by Cole. Thanks, darling!
