{ costume of the day } a spot of spring
like i mentioned this weekend, we're enjoying a little 'spring preview' out east. i'm trying to make the most of it before the rain.rain.rain returns. that means squeezing in a double shot of color (also, more polka dots!) while i still can:
these heart-shaped sunnies are the pair i scored at the pucca party during fashion week ~ which i wore for this portrait. they elicit a similar reaction as my signature butterfly-shaped set: random smiles/thumbs up/impromptu 'you go girl' shout-outs from strangers. it's wonderful to see the effect that a few cheerful touches to your outfit can have on the world around you. fashion really is a powerful force, and happiness is contagious!
