THEISLANDLIFE
Hey everyone, I hope you're all having a great weekend! As for me, I'm currently in Toronto until Monday, doing some more traveling, but with the family this time.
BUT since I didn't want to leave you all hanging with unfinished Europe business (yep, this is the last Europe post!) I made this scheduled post ahead of time, just so I won't have to kill myself to get it done after the trip (which by then, I'll most definitely have even more pictures to deal with)
Anyways, enjoy the last of these Europe pics--Promise to have T.O pictures and stories up and running when I get back!

DAY 11 ISLAND OF CAPRI, ITALY
Capri was MAGICAL. If the leather outlet in Florence was heaven, then this island sure as hell was the Garden of Eden! The bluest sea, the clearest skies, the nicest buildings. Not to mention there were designer stores everywhere you looked. Window-licking anyone?
The first thing we did when we arrived in Capri (via a large boat from the shores of Sorrento) was get into a smaller boat, that took us to the famous Blue Grotto. We were told that we were very lucky to have been able to go inside, since there are only about 75 calendar days when the tides are low enough to enter. But man, when they say "Blue Grotto" they are not lying! It looked like we were floating on a huge pool of Gatorade! The picture of it below is the ACTUAL color of it. Amazing, eh? After that, we went back to the beautiful island to explore it and have some free time.
First, we took the funicolare (a sort of cable car thing that only goes up and down hill) up the cliff, and went to the Giardini Augusto, a really sweet garden with winding paths and staircases that lead to a fantastic view of the island from above. My friends and I walked around for a bit and did a mini shoot there, before these four cute guys waved to us from the upper levels of the garden.
Before I tell you what happened, I should tell you about my crazy friend Sabrina. Damn, that girl is so flirty and outgoing, her mission on the entire trip was to take as many pictures as possible with as many cute guys she could find. Let's just say by the end of the trip, she got pictures with 53 hot guys, and someone's number. Props, girl.
Anyhow, the flirt master that she is, she (and I) somehow ended back at the upper levels, where she promptly went up to the four Italian guys and asked them for a picture. They were really nice and said yes, so I took her picture with them. But...just as we are about to leave, one of them grabs my arm and tells me I should take one with them too! Holy crap--being the shy/non-brash person that I am when it came to interacting with hot strangers--I was all smiles and out of words. I just could not believe these dudes wanted a picture with little old me!
We chatted for a bit and they were really funny. They thought I was Chinese for some reason and didn't know what "Filipino" was--I gave up and I just told them I was Canadian. They were a few years older than I was and were quite shocked to know I was 16 (isn't everyone, ahaha). Also, the cute Asian looking one was hitting on me, I think;)
After the encounter with Italian boys, my friends and just walked around before the group went for lunch (legit ravioli!) before heading back to Rome for our last day.

Gotta work it every time--even when sitting uncomfortably on some jagged-ass rocks! |

Swoon! The hotties who my friend took a picture with, and who also ended up wanting a picture with little old me! I think the one in the dark purple was hitting on me too ;) Too bad we didn't get their names! |
DAY 12 ROME, ITALY
Ah, our very last day in Europe! Sadly, like all good things, the trip too, had to come to an end. But, our last day was not sad at all. It was very relaxed, and chill, and I did some good shopping and basking, and lolling around in the sun.
First, we went o the Piazza del Popollo (sp?) as a meeting place. Afterwards we were given a lengthy three or four hour slot of free time, whereupon my friend Janine and I took it upon ourselves to buy a map of Rome and walk ourselves to the nearest vintage shops, which were luckily about 15 mins away from the square.
We had a good time counting how many guys checked us out throughout the day (she had the tits and I had the legs, and we lost count after about 150+) and eating gelati whilst browsing the little shops.
We also went up the stairs to an upper level garden (with a great view of Rome) and chilled out for a couple of hours talking and writing in our journals. All in all, it It was a really great afternoon!
