{Guest Post} House of Design & Style "Summer Essentials"

Hi, this is Andrea from House of Design and Style. I am so excited to be filling in for Dawn today while she is enjoying her vacation. Since we are all in summer mode, I thought it would be fun to share my top 10 "Summer Essentials" with you. These are the things that I simply can't live without!

Summer Essential #1 - Bright Nail Polish

Bright nail polish goes well with just about any kind of ensemble and with so many shades to choose from the possibilities are endless. My summer time lacquer of choice is "Bermuda Shorts" by Essie.

Summer Essential #2 - White Fedora

Fedoras are perfect for those lazy bed-head days when you don't have the strength to style your hair. You can throw one on with a dress or shorts for a cute and casual look. I am a big fan of fedoras year round, but in the summer time, I prefer white fedoras

Summer Essential #3 - Little White Dress

A little white dress is a key piece for the summer wardrobe. They can easily be worn from day to evening for a casual or dressy look. I like to pair my LBD with a cute pair of kitten heels and jewelry for a night on the town.

Summer Essential #4 - Wedges

If you are still looking for the perfect pair of summer shoes, I would highly recommend investing in a pair of wedges. They are versatile and look great with dresses and shorts. These white Louis Vuitton wedges were my summer splurge and I love them because they make me look really tall!

Summer Essential #5 - Oversized Sunglasses

I like to add a little glamour to my summer time ensembles with a pair of oversized sunglasses. I collect sunglasses and am constantly adding to the collection. I recently found a very large pair of vintage glasses and now I can't live without them!

Summer Essentials # 6 - Gladiator Flats

What would summer time be without a cute pair of gladiator sandals? They are definitely a must have of the season and look fab for a casual brunch with the girls or strolling around town for a day of shopping.

Summer Essential # 7 - The Perfect Bikini

Finding the perfect swimsuit or bikini can be a bit of a challenge, but once you find one that works for you, it makes wearing one that much more comfortable. I am a bikini girl and like my bikinis with a touch of gold hardware.

Summer Essential # 8 - Versatile Handbag

I am a major handbag lover, so having a versatile bag that I can use for every occassion, day and evening is important to me. My Chanel 2.55 is my go-to handbag and goes well with everything I wear.

Summer Essential # 9 - Summer Scarf

Every girl should have a few summer scarves in her wardrobe. They are chic and with so many different styles to choose from, there is a scarf for every taste. I like to pair my summer scarves with a plain tee shirt and jeans for an casual-chic look. They can also double as a bathing suit wrap for the beach.

Summer Essential #10 - Cutoff Jean Shorts

Lastly, I am a big fan of cutoff jean shorts and love wearing them with a tank top and vest for a day time casual look. At night, I pair my cutoffs with a pair of heels or wedges and some accessories to polish off my evening look.
