I thought I'd make a beachy post in celebration of the long weekend, also known by many as "the last days of summer" before everyone heads back to school or work. Unfortunately for me, I spent my "holidays" working the busiest weekend we've had for a long time and therefore didn't even go near the beach (actually it's a lake, but prairie people like to pretend it's a beach). These photos were actually taken a couple of weeks ago from a family outing to Grand Beach (again, misconception, it is a LAKE).
Haha, yeah, I know what you're thinking: who the hell wears lipstick to the beach?! Answer: I do, of course I do! I just couldn't leave home without a dash of red lippy, especially not when I was wearing this vintage-y, old-hollywood looking swimsuit to the beach! I mean, doesn't it remind you of Marilyn Monroe's dress in The Seven Year Itch?
Anyways, hope everyone had a killer weekend, regardless on if it was extended or not!
