SERPENTILE
I've never been very fond of the reptile print trend that's been big in the fashion world lately. It's nothing against snakes, nope! I think snakes are incredible animals (third most fascinating, right after unicorns and narwhals). Exotic, stealthy, dangerous, yet at the same time, beautiful and graceful. And who doesn't like that in an animal/potential pet/woman? Just kidding guys, women are not pets.
But I digress. The real reason why I'm not a fan of the snakeskin trend is because...well...just look at these vibrant, slithering beauties! Look at how their skin mesmerizes you with its complex geometry and bold simplicity at the same time! Now, look down at your own reptile-printed shirt/pants/dress-- come on, I'm sure you must be wearing one. Not the same appeal is it? Boring cream and brown. Not much pizzaz compared to mother nature, huh? Ah, if only snake print came in the same electrifying hues and patterns as these beauties--I'd be all over that shit in a heartbeat!
**I'm aware McQueen has done coloured reptile print before, and it was amazing, but it never really caught on quite like Chloe did, did it?
