It was an especially gorgeous day out today! With all the golden sun shining through the leaves and making pretty patterns, it was only fitting I wore something light, breezy, and just a little bit gold.
I thrifted this dress a while ago, but just haven't a found a way to wear it. Reason being--it's actually a plus-size dress, and without the minor belting adjustments, reached about mid-calf. My biggest problem was the 'waist'--actually my hip level--which would've looked better on a tall person. My other problem was finding the perfect thing to wear under the deep v.
I was definitely craving something gold or bronze, in the form of a lamé bikini top. But since I didn't have any on hand, I just used my beloved black and gold scarf (previously used as a
turban) as a makeshift halter bikini top. What do you think?
PS. I think today would be good time to introduce you all to my
Chictopia account! I've had one for years and just never used it, and then just recently, I've revived it. Check it out when you have the chance:)
Wearing a floppy wool hat courtesy of American Apparel, Aldo sunnies, thrifted dress and belt, vintage scarf as halter, Sonia Rykiel for H&M shoes and random jewelry.
