Have You Met, Lauren Moyer

I've decided it was time to start a new tradition on my blog. I had a bunch when I first started out, but as time has gone by and my blog has grown, I've become a bit overwhelmed with everything coming at me. So I wanted to take a step back and remember one of the things I love most about blogging, which is finding amazing, talented people. So from time to time, I will be doing Have You Met posts featuring people that I find intriguing and that I think you, my lovely readers, will too.

So, without further ado, allow me to introduce you to the amazing and incredibly talented artist, Lauren Moyer. I was very fortunate to meet Lauren, along with a few other Michigan bloggers, after the She & Him concert in June. I had visited her blog in the past and always marveled at her amazing work. So when she told me about her giveaway, I knew it was the perfect opportunity to showcase her talent...
Hi, readers of Lulu Letty! This is Lauren from Sparrow & Urchin, Maria was great enough to allow me to stand on this little soap box and announce a giveaway I'm having.

I'm happy to announce that I am having an Art Print Giveaway on my blog Sparrow & Urchin. The giveaway is for a set of 4 art prints from my Animal Clothing series. Each print is acid-free and hand signed! This set was inspired by human interaction with animals and how often times we commercialize them without realizing.

Since many of you don't know me, here's my little quick story: I grew up in Dayton, Ohio always wanting to be a Zoologist and study large felines. It wasn't until I lived in Brazil during my Junior year in high school that I decided I wanted to pursue my hobby of art instead of the sciences. I moved to Detroit to attend the College for Creative Studies and graduated from there in 2008 with a degree in Illustration. My art centers around human and animals along with strong ties to fashion illustration and early century magazine illustration. I've been lucky enough to show in galleries around the country and participate in large group shows.

I want to thank Maria, my fellow Michigander and awesome artist, for allowing me to make a quick little announcement here! I hope you all enter and am excited to hear where you would hang these prints in your home!

Thanks!
Lauren
