When the turbans made a showing almost a year ago, I wasn't interested, nor did I buy the whole propaganda ("Turbans? A trend? Naw!"). But when some Prada turbans started showing up on some famous [unnamed] [and untidy] celebrity heads (not to mention socialites and ads) and was officially pronounced a trend, I started to think twice about it. Maybe, just maybe. I'd try it once?
Well, here is my (sad--or heroic, depending your point of view) attempt... I didn't think a plain turban was good enough for this oufit, so I used a printed, vintage scarf instead. Besides, I don't know of any stores near my vicinity that sells turbans. Hmm...I actually quite like this look, I might even attempt wearing it in public--but I'd have to grow some balls first. These peers of mine, you see, would probably swing their imitation Chanel bags at my head when they see mon petit turban à l’école.
